Saving Face is an MIT Media Lab project which consists of a suite of easily scaled technologies to help people fight the pandemic by warning them when they’re about to touch their faces. It uses a SONAR-inspired approach with Machine Learning to measure the distance between hands and face and warn the user with an alarm when they get too close.
I collaborated with the machine learning team, designing new signal processing algorithms that significantly enhanced the system's accuracy through optimized feature extraction. Additionally, I played a key role in the iterative testing of prototype versions, providing valuable feedback for continuous improvement and fine-tuning.
